“I am letting you into the secret of all secrets, mirrors are gates through which death comes and goes. Moreover if you see your whole life in a mirror you will see death at work as you see bees behind the glass in a hive.” –  from Orpheus by Jean Cocteau

  1. The quote is CHILLING! The image is amazing. I’m in continued awe at how you present these images in particular colors….whether you enhance them or whatever you do to them….they are brilliant!

    • Thanks Laura – actually most of my edits are tone and levels (old school burn and dodge) – I let the beauty of the location(s) speak for themselves without much enhancement. however, as you know, the art of this is setting up the shot from the get-go 🙂

    • It is from a 1950 film Orphée by Cocteau – staring Jean Marais – who also starred in Cocteau’s 1940s version of Beauty and the Beast – both absolutely fantastic and with no CGI – but there is still magic in them.
