Part Three —Museum of Contemporary Art — North Adams, Massachusetts

What was to be done with a location tagged as a superfund contaminated site as well as being listed on the National Register of Historic Places? Thankfully in 1986, some very foreword thinking people from Williams College Museum of Art were approached by Mayor John Barrett III who suggested the use of the former Sprague buildings as a location to display large works of contemporary art.
