Norwich State Hospital for the Insane — Preston, Connecticut
Time to view the last building explored during my three visits to the Preston, CT side of Norwich Hospital. A note of thanks to Michele (visit #1), Amanda (visit #2), Linda and Katherine (visit #3) – for being my partners in grime for these explorations…

THIS is the creepy!
I’m glad you approve!
I can see some ghost of patient or caretaker sitting there and then slowly turning its head…I watch too many movies 😉
Now there is a story…
Stunning, Robert!
Thanks Jo, it was very dark in this spot as all the windows behind me were boarded up.
this room is the cold spot of the building!! Haunted!! Great shot Robert.
Dead center of the lower floor…
Love the light in the wall.
Thanks – it was fairly dark in here as this was in the center of the building.
I’d love to go to a place like that sometime. How do you find these spots? Taking my camera club would be so fun.
You can look for “abandoned” + your area or try and hook up with an abandoned group on FaceBook…also out East, follow railroad tracks and or rivers and you will usually get some hits…
That’s a good idea about Facebook. I’ll try that since I have so many people there. Also good idea about the railroads!
You may have to “prove” yourself (or the club) to the FB Group – as it is common practice not to give out locations to outsiders.
Thank you Robert for that tip.
