These are the words I hear from Amanda’s respirator-muffled voice after shooting the moss room…and boy, was she right.

The camera gave me an incredible freedom. It gave me the ability to parade through the world and look at people and things very, very closely. Carrie Mae Weems

Oh. Wow.
Thank you!
Amanda was right!
That’s why I enjoy exploring with her…we are cut from the same (photographic) cloth 🙂
Wish I could join you!!
Never say never…last year I was able to tour NYC with a friend from Australia…
😀
Remind me of Amanda’s site…I seem to have been ‘unfollowed’

Thanks!
You bet…Amanda and I share the same love (and respect) of old buildings and exploring, but have very different techniques for capture…neither is “better” than the other…just different.
You have just said what I was thinking….I love seeing the images you each come up with, for their differences!
Amazing things like this exists
Thanks…yes quite a few if you know where to look…
Only you have the unique ability to search and discover these decrepit and forgotten facilities. Kudos for the photography. You give us something to look at and talk about. Kudos!
You are most kind…Thanks

Hauntingly beautiful. Your work is amazing.
Thanks you…I am a firm believer in the beauty of these locations.
wasn’t she!! This series has been spectacular. You present such feeling in the ruins!
Thank you…as you know, I try to have you along for the explore…
There certainly is!
My pal Amanda knows!
😀 Probably my favorite spot second to under the dome. I’ve been excited to see your take on it! I really like the extra angle of view your shot has around the bend, great dimension.
Thank you…Until seeing your post, I was unsure of just where you shot this from. I placed my focus on the wall then let my 16mm and f16 carry the focus down around the bend. As always, great working with you.
