The Writing Lady (2003)

Riverside Cemetery — Waterbury, Connecticut

Established in 1853, Riverside Cemetery is  an example of the “rural” graveyard landscape design popular in the mid-19th century. The Writing Lady marks the gravesite of the Smith family with the inscription “Yet shall he live”

End Game — Film Swap

This image concludes my portion of the film swap project done with UK-based photographer Helen Briggs. I was very pleased with the results and hope to have another opportunity with a like-minded photographer to give this technique another try. A huge bit of thanks to Helen for being the co-creator of the images seen both here and on her great film-based blog. Please join us in keeping film photography alive as a viable artistic option.

Takeover — Film Swap

Breaking from my one post a day tradition, I will be featuring the results of my film swap project with Helen Briggs Photography in the UK along with my regular posts.  I feel it is fitting that the randomness of film swapping works within the greater context of my entropy shots. I hope you enjoy the results as much as I do.
