Much like the clock lording over Miss Havisham’s Satis House, the tower at Scranton Lace is forever fixed in time, never to move, never to greet another day’s workforce. And so we end this tour in the same spot as where it began, outside the building which bears stark witness to the rise and fall of all the company towns in America, gone forever.
